How often are meetings? Weekly on Mondays, starting @ 6:30pm (Usually last @ 1 hour)
Pack 39 has Den meetings weekly on Monday nights at Walker Elementary School (whenever seminole county public schools are open) to work on advancement requirements, crafts, games, skits or other activities. These meetings are approximately one hour long based on the activities. One Monday per month the entire pack will meet together in a Pack Meeting to present awards to those scouts who've earned them and partake in other fun activities, games, skits, or celebrations. Occassionally the pack will meet on a different week night or have a weekend activity such as a campout, Pinewood Derby, fundraising activity,or other field trips. Most weekend events will be planned well in advance to allow adequate notice and time for families to plan to attend if they are interested in participating.
Lion scouts will meet twice a month - one den meeting and one outing. They will also attend 3 pack meetings per year.
What are the responsibilities of a parent?
- Attend meetings with your son and help present his advancement awards to him at pack meetings
- Work with your son on advancement projects and activities
- Attend and assist with den outings and provide help and support for the den and pack when possible
- Attend Cub Scout Family campouts and other activities with your son
- Participate in pack fundraising activities to help cover the costs of the scouting activities your son participates in
- Enjoy participating and seeing your son grow through the scouting program
